Well, hello there! I’m Laura and it is a pleasure to have you here on my page. Before I get into the purpose and ministry of this blog, let me tell you a few things about myself. I was born in New Jersey, but my family is originally from Haiti. Growing up in a multilingual, multicultural and just multi-Everything has its perks, lol. I became the daughter of my almighty King Jesus when I got saved at 15. Although I am not perfect, His love, strength, and guidance have gotten me through so much on this journey called life. I am so thankful to know Him, and it is my purpose to tell others about Him and to showcase His love through everything that I do.
I have been married to my knight, Andy, since 2013. Andy is a lot of things to and for me. My praying partner and best friend to name a few. When I was unsure about starting this blog, he was the push and encouragement I needed to just do it! I’m very happy and blessed to have him by my side.
In 2015 and 2016, The Lord has gifted us with 2 beautiful children, who I called the Magnificent M&M’s. Michael and Marissa have come into my life where God knew was the perfect time. Every time I think about how much I am blessed, looking at them is an instant reminder. With only 13 months apart( yes…I know…13 months apart!), these two keep me on my toes. They are so different and so similar at the exact same time. Having two children under two is not easy, believe me, but the Lord has helped me in ways unimaginable, and the support that I have from friends and family is indescribable and I am truly thankful
In addition to that, I am also a 2nd grade teacher. I have always known that nurturing, teaching and finding purpose in children was a passion of mine, and being a teacher allows me to serve these little babies in ways that I cannot imagine. You may see me get into “teacher” mode every once in a while to provide immeasurable advice and techniques.
The purpose of this blog is to provide experiences about my kids, my husband and the love God has showered us with. You will find advice about marriage, parenting, food and how to have a spiritual walk with God. Please follow me on my journey as a wife, mother and most importantly, being the light in this world…being a Christian mother.
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father
